Loved ones do not press the emergency alert button on a pendant or wrist band or do not pull an emergency cord because:     1. They are in a compromising position    2. They do not want to burden other family members    3. They feel they will be ok in a few minutes    4. They do not want to disturb people while they are in work or spending time with their own family    5. They are disorientated and incapable    6. Invariable elderly they have left the emergency pendant or wrist band just lying around, out of reach or just do not carry it on their person
