What is FallCare?
FallCare, the basic package provided by Assisted Living Solutions, is essentially a fall detection system that will prevent an elderly or disabled person from remaining unattended or motionless for extended periods in a bathroom after a fall or accident. This package guarantees a minimum reaction time after a fall.
How will my family and I benefit?
Very simply this system is a basic fall detection system that will send an alert once a predetermined time has elapsed e.g. a motion sensor in a bath room upon detection of movement will start a timer and if a second sensor located outside the bathroom does not detect motion after the timer runs down an alert will be sent indicating an over stay in the bathroom. It offers a degree of security and peace of mind.
Other Benefits
A variety of notification can be made possible for nursing institutions, where a number of people are monitored. In nursing homes and hospitals, alerts can be sent through a lighting or buzzer system, through the reception desk, alerting all members of staff to the situation.
How does the system work?
The system will produce an alert prompting an action, for example the motion sensors situated in the bathroom, upon detecting a lack of movement after a pre-set amount of time, will allow a discreet alert to be sent to notify family or carers of the situation, enabling them to address the issue and come to the aid of a loved one or patient.
